Thanks Jim, Shorty (the cat) lives. As for the other, I'd trade my "I'm not bragging" for your Mr. Rogers comment anyday.

speaking of shorty, any signs you're going to have some kittens around there soon?

That is a good question. And while I did speak of the um, uh, violent miracle of feline conception while you were here, I cannot be sure that the husky black and white tom I saw hunched over a small black kitty was hunched over Shorty (who I cannot say for 100 percent sure is female, as I can't get close enough to tell) or if that was Shorty's mom, Spinks, who took the seed. Also I could never tell when Spinks was pregnant in the past. To further confuse the issue, yesterday I saw the black and white tom, who I don't really know well enough to name (but is very possibly the father of the most cute but rarely seen, Kitten), and Spinks, and Shorty, lounging in the sun over on the side, below the side steps where Shorty's picture up above left was taken. And if this were an Agatha Christie mystery, BigHead (Shorty's dad) would be a possible father candidate, as he was, I'm sorry, waiting in line, or something, that day of conception. I'll keep you in the loop though.
