OK, so let's add fear of infection (even before they knew about bacteria) and chalk up "unclean" to a bad choice of words. I'm still not seeing anything here that prohibits nudity for the sheer joy of it. Other than the presumption that nakedness inevitably leads to some type of proscribed sex.
