Chocolate (more specifically, caffeine + theobromine) is a definite no-no. We are now in the chocolate poisoning season. Runs through about mid-February. If the dog is caught early enough, a puke-ogenic agent (that's a technical term) can get most of the chocolate out. Otherwise it's time for activated charcoal. I've seen vet techs introducing activated charcol into a large dog. Not fun for anyone involved.
