Speaking of technical clothing for outdoor activities, canoeing has introduced me to the world of quick dry fabrics, neoprene, neoprene bonded with polar fleece, and teflon drysuits with latex seals, oh my. I'm resisting going much beyond nylon pants. But if I'm foolish enough to venture onto SF Bay in an open canoe, I may have to invest in a wet suit, to "dress for immersion" as they say.
