I have noticed the smaller town thing too. I like being able to get lost in the city. It was just big enough for that. Now, it's hard to wander in your in own space on the island proper. We do encounter the same people more often. Simultaneously, with all the out of state workers, I sometimes look around, say the Bulldog, and ask 'who are all these people'? The 'offshore' parts of town, like Faubourg Louisville, are peaceful. Who would have thought that I would wish to be in Treme for peace and quiet !
