I would like to know what that 42/5 is, and by whom? Do you know?

i dont know. we could start by figgerin out what its not : (All photgraphs courtesy LOT-EK; Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum; Martyn Wills/Urban Space Management; Jussi Tiainen/ARK-House) looks great but its a sign not housing. that and the one above it. I like that two high, three across house (w/ ghost people) alot.

this article has factual errors too. starting prices are more like $800 for a twenty not $2000.00. and the dimensions are just for 20's while most of the containers pictured are 40's. point taken about the deluge of nyc attention though.

maybe ill make a post about how easy it would be to knock off "at cost" versions of all the "designer" container houses. it could cut $70,000.00 off kalkins $75,000.00 price tag.
just think of the savings on a jones partners mountain cabin.

well, sure, you could point out factual errors and let opinion show through (costs too high, at cost version v. "designer")... editor = cathy lang ho.

I like that house too (I thought you meant the round window one, I don't like those windows). I would have the front be the back though, so you could have a terrace overlooking the pool (and be able to keep an eye on those ghost people).

thanks john. (you refer to 42/5 or the house with pool ?) you are a pathological thinker.

I'm not sure but looks like the work of an architectural firm call lo/tek... they design a lot of buildings recycling industrial containers and materials.

The shipping containers may be the work of Japanese architect Shigeru Ban, also known for his paper tube architecture.
