The David and Lisa team wrote/directed. Saw D&L again recently on cable--like checking into an asylum for 90 minutes. Painful on all levels.
i noticed that. so the pitch was "if you liked david and lisa you'll love the swimmer"? ow! i loved both.
speaking of d an l, the sterile cuckoo is pretty creepy but cant stop watching teen age angst too.
I saw that when it came out. The friend's parents I went with complained that it had premarital sex. I remember it made college frat parties (or was it prep school?) look depressing. The image of a crowd of drunks in khakis stayed in my head--should have been a warning of what I'd encounter at UVa.
