under-sink dishwasher

We own a GE 18” Spacesaver Dishwasher, it broke after 33 months, just past it’s warrenty.. Purchased in 2002, it has not been working since 2005. It no longer cycles properly. The GE parts dept. sent the wrong timer three times. Three times I stuck around to meet the G.E. maintenance guy. Three times he tried to fix our 18" General Electric dishwasher. The GE maintenance technician tried unsuccessfully three times to get the parts department to send the right part. The third time they sent the wrong part he told me that the dishwasher couldn't be fixed.
"But the problem is that they're sending you the wrong part" I protested.
"That's right, and so it can't be fixed. You'll have to purchase another unit, I won't charge you for my time."

Buyer beware, don't by General Electric dishwashers. Don't by GE dishwashers. Do not buy a GE 18” Spacemaker dishwasher.

G.E. inferior GENERAL ELECTRIC poor, GE diswhasher expensive. GE Under-the-Sink Dishwashers bad
Overall rating half-star.

thanks for the testimonial steve. i caught a mention of the "under-sink" dishwasher on a reno show yesterday. had not previously been aware they existed. GE was what came up near the top w/ a goog search. the sinks tend to look rinky-dink. but in general good space saver idea if you can find one that works.
