The forrmer former former owner of the pink burned out shell (Esnard Villa, 1854) right behind my back here at Dumaine, was/is a privy digger but could never find the "jackpot" for Esnard Villa, probably because the grounds for the house now are much lesser than they were, and the privy may be outside the current fence, under pavement. Still, we dug around in his yard a few times and were never disappointed with recovered links to the past.
