I listened to some of the mp3s. Drony soundscapes a la Fripp and Eno, Tangerine Dream (minus a sequencer), all texture and layering (ie, no beats, no song development, no quirks, no psychological surprises, no shifts in tone, no "meta" level, no humor, no joy, no fun). He uses MAX/MSP, a program I avoided because it's the one used by Serious Electronic Musicians but the criticism I kept hearing was "everything produced in that environment tends to sound the same."
