most of the malcolm mclaren obits included the term impresario in describing him. not sure why "dick head" wasnt used more often since its pretty much a matter of record. its easy to look back now and judge. i guess in long run he was good for punk music, just not very good for punks. punk music marked a return of musical do it yourself independence. the re empowerment of independent thinking and production is the lasting gift of the punk movement. im not sure how much help MM was in moving that into place.
