Very very nice. I love that desk, the corner where it sits, and the painting behind it.

Thanks Jim.
How we came to get the desk is a funny story but I'll save it for your next visit.

Nice work, really pulled together. Assuming this is all upstairs, what goes on where the fire trucks used to live?

2000 sf is huge. like the openness. floating floor or nailed down? and that cupboard is great. how did you hang those shelves and are they as think as they look?

Great results. I know it must have been a huge amount of work.

Yes, adman, what you see is the upstairs, one third of it. The garage is where my sister and her husband and their partners run their antique and estate sale business.

Bill, floor is maple and floating.
Pantry shelves are box frame style constructed from 3/4 dimensional pine. Supports are attached to walls with liquid nails and shot into studs with a finish nailer, deck is glued and shot onto supports.

thanks. is that erins pottery? where do you keep the wheel?
- bill 10-15-2009 9:30 am

Wish we had a wheel and knew how to use it. The above pot is Japanese.
Insomnia, or are you going fishing?

There's a reason I haven't posted any pics until now. It took a visit from MB to inspire us to clean this thoroughly. We're back to our old ways now.
