This is getting to be stupid. Other than the PS3 I "borrowed" from work, I refuse to buy any players until a dual mode player can be had for under $500. Suck on that, CE manufacturers. Im in ur target market dissin ur katfite

I'm going to be routing HDMI around the house. HDMI matrix switches currently cost vast sums of money (down from ridiculous sums of money), and top out at four inputs. Consuming two of those inputs on optical disk players is out of the question.

My projected input line-up:

1. MPEG-4 HD DirecTV PVR
2. HD DirecTV Tivo
3. Media PC (currently the "media PC" is an iPod in a DLO stand)
4. Optical disc player (PS3 for now)

Not getting the whole-house distribution are:

- legacy SD DVD/VHS player
- legacy SD DirecTV Tivo
