Comcast Corp., the nation's second-largest Internet service provider, Thursday said it would set an official limit on the amount of data subscribers can download and upload each month. On Oct. 1, the cable company will update its user agreement to say that users will be allowed 250 gigabytes of traffic per month, the company announced on its Web site.

Some of the comments on this are about how many bazillion emails that would represent. I even heard one comment that it was 25 HD movies. Well, sort of. It's the capacity of 5 bluray disks. Could there be any reason why Comcast might want to keep people from downloading high quality video? Hmm ... thinking ... thinking ...

It's a complete conflict/antitrust issue/what have you for them to be offering TV and internet. They need to busted up like the Bells were (like we know that worked out) into the internet provider, tv provider and the pipe owner.
