 


i totally love these images. mostly because of 'connections' being drawn out physically with yarn, increasing the somewhat flat 'web of information' metaphor.
where do these images originate? movie stills from a version of Batman?
No, it's A Beautiful Mind. The scenes where the mathematician's family and friends realized he's flipped out, and is applying his genius "breaking the code" of newspapers, magazines, etc. It happens twice in the film. I wrote about it, somewhat cynically, on my blog, but I do think the art directors did an impressive job of conveying the beauty and horror of John Nash's mind at that point in his life.
