I owe someone an apology, and I'll be happy to offer it in this public forum.

I drew a portrait of pamela in MSPaintbrush and posted it as a demo of how I do Paintbrush pictures on Jan 16. I asked her permission to do the post.

On Jan 17 I posted the above group of thumbnails from an ongoing series, and she assumed--not unreasonably--that it made it look like her picture might be part of that series. She had some qualms about being seen in that context. I have removed the Jan 16 post. My sincere apologies to pamela.

Just by way of explanation, in the series those thumbnails were part of, all kinds of imagery is getting mixed up. The pictures include some T&A and have a kind of creepy, exploitative vibe, and I believe they cumulatively comprise a psychic snapshot of the Maxim-reading, Lara Croft-worshipping dude that lurks inside even the most politically correct male. I think it's important work for me, but every time I show it (or even a piece of it) people think the messenger is the same thing as the message, so I keep self-censoring it.

risky business, fraternizing with artists

If by fraternizing, you mean being friends, yes, it is. Visions can conflict. But I like being friends with artists--I don't have much respect for creators who think they're making art in a vacuum.
