Strawberry 'n Cream

Did you eat the cereal yourself, is the cereal still in the box, or did you get the box from someone else? Everytime I look at one of these cereal boxes with the drawing collaged on it I initially think I'm looking at a diagram of some mineral or protein or fiber that the cereal is supposed to provide the consumer.

They are empty boxes--most of the product packaging is from stuff I've consumed. Although I have to be careful in saying that. I did a piece a few years back with a giant molecule painted on nudes from a cut-apart Playboy "newstand special" and a (female) critic used my quote against me. I think of the molecules more as graffiti than having any literal connection to the product. Although we always want art to have meaning, they're really just a kind of random fuck you (to the packaging, not the viewer).
