moonie t shirt capture

Ad from the Moonie paper, the Washington Times (online edition). They had to hire this T-shirt model because the Cheeto-eating guy with the laptop sitting in his underpants in his Mom's basement wasn't quite "there" in terms of selling the product.

is there a link or am i missing something?
- dave 2-04-2006 7:27 pm

You want to buy the T-shirt?
- tom moody 2-04-2006 7:40 pm

what t-shirt? what ad?
- dave 2-04-2006 7:44 pm

You're not seeing a jpeg on your browser in this post?
- tom moody 2-04-2006 7:47 pm

that is correct.
- dave 2-04-2006 7:55 pm

Can you see this (the same thing re-saved in Photoshop)? If so, I'll substitute it:

Moonie T-Shirt

- tom moody 2-04-2006 8:03 pm

i see both.
- bill 2-04-2006 8:06 pm

i can see them both if i click on "images" at the bottom of the page but neither on your page. nor do i see the small red box with a square that one would expect if the image was for some reason unviewable.
- dave 2-04-2006 8:11 pm

How about this? (saved as a GIF)? And can you see other images on my page?

Just wondering if the advertisers put some anticopying code into the image that disables it in certain browsers.
- tom moody 2-04-2006 10:07 pm

i can see that too. w/ osx, safari.
- bill 2-04-2006 10:09 pm

One more thing to try. A jpeg saved from a screen capture:

yep
- bill 2-04-2006 10:11 pm

There is no anti-copying code that can be put into a jpeg. I'd say this is an issue with Dave's setup.

Now that that's settled, what's with the hammer and sickle? Are we sure this is a conservative t-shirt? I think the author couldn't pose because he was too busy handing anarchy out leaflets at the mall.
- joester 2-04-2006 11:04 pm

Yes, some of us would like to see Hillary defeated for supporting endless war in Iraq.
- tom moody 2-04-2006 11:19 pm

hes a pinko hater. thats a real crowd pleaser in the red states.
- bill 2-04-2006 11:20 pm

Joester was being ironic. Once again the flat affect of the web makes it impossible to communicate (even when we can see the pictures).
- tom moody 2-04-2006 11:45 pm

i can see the last one but not the one previous.
- dave 2-05-2006 1:48 am

I substituted the capture in the main post. OK now? Both the GIF and the first 2 jpegs were saved from the original file. The capture is just a picture of the picture.

I will never, ever save and repost a file from a conservative website again.
- tom moody 2-05-2006 2:34 am

perfect. now take it down, its hideous.
- dave 2-05-2006 3:02 am

Your page has images Tom?
