NBC's Shipman reports that, according to two Gore aides present at the time, when Gore called Bush to retract his concession, Gore told Bush at one point: "You don't have to get snippy" ("Today").
When I woke back up @ 3:45 am watching NBC tv they said Bush people (nice mental image) claimed W said : "do whatch gotta do"
NYT - The Bush Brothers / David Firestone -......Jeb Bush told reporters today that he called election officials in Florida to discuss the situation, and apperently George W. Bush passed on those assurances to Mr. Gore when he called him to rescind his earlier concession.
"Let me explain somthing," Mr. Gore lectured the Texas Governor, "your younger brother is not the ultimate authority on this." The conversation then ended abruptly..............
