awesome. Do you just have your computer connected to the DSL modem (with the wireless linksys not in the loop?) It will be easy (yeah, yeah, I know) to get that in there now. You've done the hard part if you've got the connection. Way to go!

  • i borrowed a pc card adapter with an ethernet jack from one of the sysadmin guys at my office, so am directly connected to the dsl modem using that. connectivity has been spotty today, and i seem to connect only when i have a verizon tech on the phone. going to try again with the router.

  • Yeah, just put the router between you and the modem. If your pc is connected successfully to the net (just being passed through the router) then just open your browser and you can talk to the router by going to (what is it? It will say in the linksys manual - I think it's http://192.168.1.1) You just configure it through the browser. Pretty easy. It basically just looks at how your machine is connected and copies that for you. Give it a new password when your done. Write back with your progress.

Why not try Mozilla 0.9.7? Not sure what the last one you tried was. This is a noticable improvement over 0.9.6 and miles ahead of anything before that. Limewire is nice for music... er I mean file sharing (Here's a direct download link.)
