Dear folks,

Finally, the strange year of 2001 has been passed. Now we are able to dust ourselves off and move on. But do not look away from reflection of the last year tragedy. Many unanswered questions are still floating in the air.

This year, The Lonely Samoans will try hard to bring you love and peace at least for a moment, also ask questions to deep inside of ourselves. Some said we can't stop fighting because humans are animals, we are run by animal instinct. Do you believe that? I don't!!!

Please bring your love, it will be good to see you there.

Thursday, January 17th. 10pm.
@ CB's Gallery 313 Bowery.
Tel:(212)677-0455
$5 cover.

I'm always a bit reluctant to start so "late" on a work night, though I would like to support Sammy. I'm getting a little long in the tooth for CBs (then again, so is Samoa). Do you know if 10:00 is a realistic time ? (sometimes 10 means 11:30) What about setting up a dinner beforehand? I dunno; talk me into it.

  • I think and hope 10 is realistic stage time. I could eat somthing first. (At least it's not cbgb's proper but the canteen next door) Is food served there anyone knowing ? I might could go for an 8 o'clock diner there or elsewhere (phoebees?) first.

    • mike and i were thinking about holy basil dinner at 8, tho i am not fussy about where to meet/eat. steve dib. mentioned interest in seeing samoa's band as well. i'll be working from home tomorrow - could meet as early at 7:00 somewhere.

The Lonely Samoans show was great! The CD is great! Thanks for making me go.

As for the rest of the night, all I can say is that I'm pretty sure it was Linda's fault. The way I remember it she was trying to tie me to the bar stool with some electrical cord at one point. "You must drink more Dal Forno" she kept saying, rather maniacally. Mike, you've got to keep that girl in line.
