www.woz.com is still just redirecting to woz's homepage (woz.org.) But I assume you're posting about WoZ (Wheels of Zeus) Woz's first new venture in many a year. Very stealthy, but it has something to do with wireless communication. And probably satellites. And maybe GPS.
Woz is also on the board (unusual for him) of danger. WoZ and danger might be connected. Or so the speculation runs. Also, if you're really following along closely, Apple registered "gigawire" as a trademark a few months ago. Nobody knows what gigawire is, but it seems like it doesn't have anything to do with wires. The trademark application says, in part: ...telecommunications equipment and devices, or computer peripheral devices; parts and fittings for all the aforesaid goods. Telecommunication services; cellular telephone communication; Communication by computer terminals, communication by telephone, facsimile transmission; providing of electronic mail (E-Mail); computer aided transmission of messages and images; communication between computer peripherals and devices; information about telecommunication.
This could possibly be connected as well. If Woz does something with Apple (with his old high school buddy Jobs) it would cause a sentimental stir in the industry. It's hard not to root for Woz.
Probably these are all seperate things, and it's just the case that everybody has some sort of wireless plan up their sleeve. Still, this is the sort of info that keeps the rumor mills spinning. (I want one of those danger communicator things.) Hopefully we'll all cut the cord this year.
