Artforum mentions blogs (not very interesting, but I thought Tom should see.)

Thanks. Now when I mention my weblog at openings people may say "Oh yeah, I read about those in Artforum." (But I doubt it.) The mag has been doing that hotlist about the Internet for years--the sites listed always look incredibly boring (no Creepy Clown in sight). And it's taken them this long to mention weblogs?

and shouldnt they have made an effort to tie it into the possibility that blogs would make a good art forum?

Another great tradition at Artforum is lists by artists that never refer to other artists. The "top ten" typically includes an artist's favorite films, music, books, etc to show how well-rounded and intellectual s/he is. In the case of Pae White's blog list, the problem may simply be that there are no artist blogs (besides mine!!) to point to as an example. I think it's funny that the online version of her list doesn't include links to the actual blogs, only screen shots.
