My favorite was the one clip about the kid who had the giant treehouse in his back yard. It was like seven stories tall, complete with electricity and a refridgerator. I used to think that was the coolest thing in the world. And actually, it still rates pretty high up there.

  • Wow! For a few years now I have heard people discuss Zoom but have never been able to recall it. Last night when Nicholas was talking about the show and how it was "created" by the kid viewers it finally rang a bell. That tree house segment I definetly remember and think about often, in fact, that house was so cool that the name of this page always conjures up the memory of that kid's tree house rather than the ones we built as kids.
So that segment was on Zoom huh? I always thought it was Big Blue Marble.

      • Way to go D, for those that would feel that way, myself included, your words are so specifically correct. It wasn't until I read your post that I was able to remember exactly what was the show being talked about. For this forty-something boomer Zoom was more a second rate upstart to the Sesame Street phenom, which for me a young Dallasite was just a more bigger version of what we were grooving on locally in the early sixties--Jerry,the dad who would later beget Gibby butthole surfing Haynes. And you know, Mr. Wiggly Worm wasn't really a worm, but a finger inside a white glove.
