...While illegal in the United States, absinthe is sold in Great Britain, Spain, Czechoslovakia and other countries, although the amount of a-thujone it contains is now less than 10 ppm, as opposed to the 260 ppm of the 19th century version...(i tasted a 100+ recently made at afamous cali distillary very strong and bitter--still have both ears though!!)
