geek alert -- hypertransport.org announced a new motherboard-to-daughter board interconnect called HTX. This supports 6.4 gigabytes/second transfer rate, compared to 1 gigabyte/second of PCI-X. Opteron server boards based on this should be showing up in 2005. Will IBM/Apple be ready also?

And no, this isn't enough bandwidth for me. I want more, more, more.
