"Am I boring you?" Dr. Gene Scott RIP. I don't want to think how many hours I spent watching this dude on late night TV in the 80s.
i used to watch him too up here. heavy duty late night. scary man.
Oh Gawd, me too. I swear, one time I watched as he sat there smoking a cigar, the screen faded to a hot 16-yr old looking girl in an English riding outfit riding a fancy horse. Gene Scott said "Look at this beautiful Arabian Stallion! Don't you think I need about 12 more of them?" He actually said that! Then he said "I'm just going to sit here and not say anything until you people pledge $10,000." Then he just sat there and smoked and the dissolves would alternate between the hottie on the horse and Gene Scott smoking. About 20 minutes later he had the pledges.
Another time I saw him sing a song who's chours ended with the line :
"And that Old Time Religion...It ain't worth bullshit!"
