use : you wouldnt eat that just cause some guy named lenny told you to would you ?
interchangeable with joe schmoe. any body got anything on this ?

Never heard it before today. When I first use it I plan to say "some guy named Squiggy" just to be cute.
I think you're right, Bill. It's from the famous quote, "you wouldn't pat a rabbit just cause some guy called Lenny told you..."
no I made that up. I never heard it either.
the day i posted that i heard some talking head use it on a news show. there may be just as many "some guy named murray" hits, but there aren't.
