Paragon NTFS 7.0 -- I need to transfer files > 4GB from Mac to PC. So I need to write access to an NTFS system from a Mac. I can use shared access over a network ... but the files are over 4GB, so it's kinda slow. Is the Paragon utility hot or not?

I don't think you're going to be impressed with write speed no matter how you do this. But maybe check out Macntfs-3g which is a caching optimized version of MacFUSE. These are at least free. I don't have first hand experience with Paragon, but I'd bet a bunch it's just a packaged up version of MacFUSE.

Paragon NTFS seems to work. Files are transferred to an NTFS USB drive. And they look okay on the PC.

I tried doing the massive file transfer last night (55 GB) using file sharing over wifi. I have two wifi networks attached to a high speed switch to double the throughput. Still it's a 10 hour copy. Power got interrupted when D turned off a light sometime during the night. (The Mac was plugged into a switched outlet). So I broke down and bought Paragon this morning.

On another front, I'm trying to pick between Fusion and Parallels. I have a PC-only app that includes a touchy USB interface. I've gotten reports of success with both Fusion and Parallels.

I hear Snow Leopard is going to include HFS+ support in the windows partition of Bootcamp. Good move. And they're going to support Exchange. Necessary(?) evil(!).
