Doniger is a distinguished scholar remembered around here for collaborating on Gordon Wasson’s project that identified the Vedic soma as a mushroom-derived psychedelic, back in her grad school days.

yoga has buddhist roots. asana is taught to Tibetan Buddhist monks but generally only many years of study, after they have reached the geshe level. it is considered the one of the outer methods that are used with inner methods (meditation, wisdom) in order to attain enlightenment.

TB and yoga share same original teachers: Asanga, Atisha, Naropa, Niguma.
