We call large groups of birds flocks. Most insectivorous birds are gone by now, but seed-eaters run later; sparrows and blackbirds may occur in good numbers at this time. Lacking any specifics there's no more to say.
Right. Lots of middle sized grey and darker birds. Not to worry, they've moved on.
