i assume you all saw john oliver's oregon clip. such a ridiculous waste of money.

i saw it. obviously i have no idea what it should cost or what those costs went to cover but that creating the site should cost $250 million seems grossly mismanaged and moreso since it was ineffectual. i wish the show went into where all that money went. that would have provided some much needed context.

i thought oliver wanted to delve deeper into the subject matter at least that was his stated intention but ultimately it came across as another version of what he did while hosting the daily show except the cursing went unbleeped.

I thought this was going to be about dumping 38 million gallons of water because somebody peed in the reservoir. Turns out it was maybe worse. Where can I get a job like that?

good grief. doesn't water go through some filtration between reservoir and faucet?

There are several counties in California that want that water, including the pee. In fact, top it off with 2 million gallons of pee for a nice round 40 million gallons.

They're having a drought, is what I'm trying to say.

California's ACA website is working pretty good. Perhaps some sort of barter could be worked out for diluted pee in exchange for web site expertise.
