i would say this interview came across as a sitcom writer punking the npr correspondent but since it was a writer for big bang theory we can assume they arent capable of producing anything original.
i came across paraprosdokian when trying to recall the name "mitch hedberg." i had recently listened to some of the comedy album linked below. i had sort of written him off for his mannered stoner persona but i know he is beloved in some corners of the comedy universe so i listened to about 20 minutes of it. i still find the delivery grating at times but i do appreciate some of the wordplay and his "casual" approach.
he od'd in nj hotel almost 10 years ago.
