one week until its been a year since i had my last haircut. (i fact checked the date. it was during australias second wc game. remember that wonder goal by tim cahill?) can i keep procrastinating as i have for the last four months to push it past a year? my money is on yes.

didnt make it. got a haircut so i could put off thinking about the hole in my ceiling. its a little shorter than i wanted and im afraid to look in the mirror any more than i have to but its the first cut out of the last five that i havent come home and neurotically reached for the clippers. so i taking that as a win. i passed up the highly yelped $20 barber shop when i decided the "stylist" lacked style and went to the $40 place that says james franco once came in to ask for directions and stayed for a shave.

and despite the mirror revealing more horrors than a shaggy do that a homeless man would be proud of, i left feeling better about myself beyond shedding many inches as they were dealing with a cyber stalker/sexual predator. so by comparison i decided i come out looking pretty good. not exactly i ringing endorsement but i have to start somewhere.

im less impressed now that ive looked more carefully. i was somewhat in the thrall of his brisk and confident scissoring technique. still, i will resist trimming (for now) that one strand of hair that is decidedly longer than the others in close proximity.
