This is interesting. I didn't mention it at the time, so get no street cred, but while visiting Bill over Christmas we were looking at the stars, and I actually noticed that Betelgeuse wasn't as bright as I thought is should be. It would be wild if it really does go nova, but while I sympathize with the astronomers hoping it does, I'd miss it in the end, and it would ruin the symmetry of Orion, which is probably the best constellation out there.
