Back out of all this Now back to a time
made simple by the loss of detail I spun
the wheel & found myself half asleep
in a finca grande a Guadalahara. My
patron had advised me under no condition
to disturb his whory slumber but
something told me, an iguana or a scorpion,
during my predawn peregrinations,
Pressure Drop was a kiss away. I was
wiggy to say the least but knew if I went
to his door the heat seekers would
make the gringo for good. I prayed his
beeper was set to buzz & in his jammies.
It was. He rang me back. Now now
now I whispered & today he owes me
an everything I'll never go collect.
