St Lawrence should be popular around here: he's the patron of librarians and archivists, as well as cooks, since tradition has it that he himself was cooked on a gridiron, which looks a bit like #. He even said "I'm done on this side, turn me over".
I think I remember my art history professor showing a slide of a painting from the middle ages which depicts him gleefully running towards the grill. Martyrdom was big in those days.
