hey jim, i still lurk around and have been able to follow some of your life through mutual friends, etc. viriginia has had a few setbacks, but all is well. And yes cast iron can fail, much easier if new chinese made or if your upstairs neighbor drinks ad dumps a lot of soda into drain, carbolic acid, ingredient in some cola's is quite corrosive.
