only two hours late to start but there was "growth." he admitted without prompting during apology that "you know me. i dont respect time." i should have said something about learning to respect others but i wasnt that quick in the moment. 

decided before tearing up my wall to snake the drain from upstairs the thinking being that a blockage may have caused an overflow pipe to spill out rather than a pipe bursting. seems like a reasonable likelihood. fingers crossed.
