as far as i can tell ghost in the shell is the only graphic novel i own and the science fiction selection is miniscule as are the number of female writers. did they exist before 1990? who can say? and i have one book by and another about web dubois. pretty sure there is a black character in huck finn though and a couple in heart of darkness. well maybe not characters per se. and fantasy, uhhh, who reads that?
