i doubt he is a saint, in fact, (i think) i know he isnt, but dr strangelove, kid heart attack and vice-president bush league dont impress me as the core of a winning team. good thing that powell and condoleeza rice are rounding out the starting five. its a lineup filled with former allstars and overpaid and underperfoming draft choices much like our beloved ny knicks. expect a late season call up for rudy whos suddenly tearing it up in the summer leagues. he could be a potent sixth man. then they can put ashcroft out to pasture. i can see it now -- rudy guiliani -- the chancellor of terror -- our very own robespierre. well, maybe thats not fair. as far as i can tell rudy has been the picture of restraint during this crisis, not a saber rattler be he. actually, the robespierre chair for the study of terror at the university of schadenfreude seems to have been filled for the moment by those who would do us harm.

heres what consortium news is thinking about 9-11 and its aftermath.
