Right from the phone. I email the picture from the phone to a special email account here. Then the system grabs the photo, resizes it, and puts it in my upload directory, and also posts it to the photoblog.

They are starting to give away free camera phones now (with a new contract.) Nokia will be the largest seller of cameras in '04 (over Canon, Kodak, Nikon, etc...)

Okay now the bulb is really glowing, I pretty much remember a couple a months ago linking from jimlslog to a treo site allowing you to see if they were available in your area and I plinked NOLA and they weren't. I'm sure it could be popular so I'll just watch and wait. If I move back out here I'll have to wait for cell towers to go up anyway.

I recommend buying the Sprint version. Their network is pretty robust. I'd be very surprised if there wasn't complete coverage in NOLA.

I'll bet the Treo 600 will be $299 after Christmas.

I mentioned it to my friend, Mr. BC, and he's crazy to get one too, in DC area, and says he is waiting for a Verizon plan, I don't know why, maybe bad experience with Sprint. My basic Sprint contract is just about up, I don't know if I should stick with them or what. I know I have a little more than average hassle negotiating around their websites, to pay my bill etc.

Yeah, I guess it really depends where you are. Sprint coverage in the LES is great, but there are lots of complaints from other Manhattan neighborhoods.
