Pooh must mostly be the Disney stuff; they've been milking it since 1966 and it's evergreen. Loved my dad reading the books when I was little. Saw the first movie when it came out and was horrified at what Disney had done to it.

the little i read said disney really pumped up the marketing in the 1990s. eventually there was a theme area at disney world. they completely bought out a a milne rightsholders in 1999 for 300 million or so even though the trademark was due to expire in 2020s. now they are expanding what bits of the trademark they can.
