A talon for his trouble
Bike courier Bill Gerhardt helps what appears to be a red-tailed hawk that was sitting stunned on Queen Street near Bay and blocking traffic yesterday. He picked it up, at which point it sank its talons through his gloves. But when he released the bird it flew away, apparently healthy.
