How much is the leica? I'm a big fan, have owned 6 of their movie cameras and a slew of lenses but when it comes to digital I think in the long run you might be happier spending less on a higher res canon.
I have the Nikon Coolpix 3200 3.2 megapixels. I find it great for my needs which are mostly viewing on screen and printing no bigger than 8X10. Sharp lens, great color and cheap.
