my busy and somewhat unobservant friend left his window open for days on end and a pigeon built a nest and laid an egg on his desk next to his computer. Eventually he noticed some twigs poking out behind a stack of papers and threw the whole batch out the window (and shut the window). I'll have to tell him about the mites! yuck.
