great match. it would have been amazing if may made that last long put and pushed it to another whole. it was an interesting tournament especially for jack nicklaus. i think his mother died like a day before it started and it is his last pga championship on a course he designed so they paired tiger with nicklaus for the first two days, the first time they had played together in a tournament. nicklaus holds the record with eighteen major victories. tiger now has five. but waht is almost as impressive is that nicklaus has 19 second places finishes in the majors. i think sports illustrated had him in the top five us athletes of the century, possibly a couple notches higher. so, it looks like tigers got a leg up on everyone in the next century.

Did you catch this one stat they were throwing around: Nicklaus won 18 majors by a combined margin of victory of 44 strokes (40 something for sure; I think 44) while Tiger had (before yesterday) 4 majors with already a combined margin of victory of 36 strokes. He needs a couple more years to catch up to some of Jack's records, but he's on track to absolutely demolish every one of them. Incredible.
