Strange, I find that I have to request specifically that the engine include "completed items" in order to view auctions which have closed. How are you doing your search? Are you using the browse feature? or the search feature? or catagories? etc.
I know you are asking Bill but figure I might be of some help.

What Steve said is right. 1st thing need to know is how are you searching, when you get responses which include closed items ? There are a couple of approaches to seaking your subject - hang in there, your going to like e.bay

    • Yeah, it could happen. You know you can delete posts by editing them (maybe scroll down a little if the delete controls aren't visible on your screen.)

      • I'm at home on a pc and I dont think I have those controls here - should I e.mail you for a cookie ?

        • You've got the cookie. If your posts show up with your name then you are signed in. Are you sure you can't delete? Do you see the [edit] link after your posts? Click on that, then on the edit page you can scroll down and you should see an option to click 'delete this post.'

  • not sure. tried again today and did not get closed bids. i must have hit search completed items. sometimes my laptop goes real sensitive-like and my cursor will self-click if it is in one place for too long (all of 30 seconds). frustrating when writing cause all of a sudden i will be typing in another part of the page, where ever the little arrow is hovering.
