usa not nearly as athletic or talented as this ecuador side. would be fun if they held on to this slim lead to see them thrashed by argentina.
Not so sure i agree. 2-0 just luck? Usa v argentina still not worth a trip to nj?
well all of a sudden they looking pretty determined
send in nagbe
ecu coach tossed but hovering, wth?
not luck exactly. whenever the us win it seems they have to outwork their opponents. but they rarely play pretty soccer. a lot of dumping the ball upfield and sitting back and absorbing pressure. doesnt exactly inspire a lot of confidence.
i think they said the game is in houston. maybe if it was on houston st i would go.
im still annoyed a klinsmann for leaving donovan off the world cup team. churlish fuck.
the first goal was as good as any in soccer IMHO, 2nd a man down hard work.....
i for one am ready to drive to houston street and kick daves arse
its not that they are incapable of scoring a pretty goal on occasion just that its will rather than talent that sees them through. best case scenario is comparing them to italy thats built around a stout defense often called boring yet highly effective in tournament play. still more talented sides than weve ever had. and we were not a man down. each team had a player sent off. ill be drinking at a bar on houston st tomorrow around six. come on down. ill introduce you to my lawyer. dont forget to bring your checkbook.
OK, from our seat we could not see what happen.....
That's too bad he is outs Bobby Wood out....
Not that they have a chance anyway vs Argentina.....
