But having seen the movie version of To Kill a Mockingbird recently, it's Scout, not Atticus, who defuses the mob outside the courthouse by calling out one of the lynchers and saying "Hey there, Mr. _____." (I think Finch does it in the book--but since Matthews was invoking the Gregory Peck archetype...)
I saw "Capote" recently. Made me buy "In Cold Blood". I need to get "To Kill a Mockingbird" also.
Bush seems more like Thomas `a Becket to me.
